Porch replacement on Early Mansion in Sac City, Iowa

The Early Mansion is a home on the National Register for Historical places which was built in the late 1800’s for a local judge. The original porch was in unrepairable condition and falling away from the building. The old porch was completely removed and the original parts were measured and painstakingly crafted out of Bald Cypress. The parts were made using CNC and old-world hand fabrication skills. New Footings were poured and a new porch constructed using the replicated parts, and modern weather resistant porch and framing materials. The columns are 16 feet tall and there is over 10,000 board feet of Cypress used in the replicated parts.
